Yamamasa Koyamaen is a long-established tea producer founded in 1861 (Bunkyu 1) in Uji, Kyoto β with family roots in tea cultivation stretching back to the early Edo era. Still operating their own tea fields in Uji today, they are one of the few remaining producers involved in every step from cultivation to blending. Their philosophy: βTaste First.β Every blend is evaluated and crafted entirely by human senses, not machinery β and their matcha is trusted by over 1,000 tea shops across Japan.
Togano is a ceremonial matcha from Yamamasa Koyamaen, specially favored by Sokucyuusai, Grand Master of the Omotesenke Fushinan tea ceremony school.
π΅ Recommended for: Usucha (thin tea)
β¨ Best for: Omotesenke Fushinan practitioners and collectors of school-endorsed matcha
