Yamamasa Koyamaen is a long-established tea producer founded in 1861 (Bunkyu 1) in Uji, Kyoto — with family roots in tea cultivation stretching back to the early Edo era. Still operating their own tea fields in Uji today, they are one of the few remaining producers involved in every step from cultivation to blending. Their philosophy: “Taste First.” Every blend is evaluated and crafted entirely by human senses, not machinery — and their matcha is trusted by over 1,000 tea shops across Japan.
Yuuwa no Shiro is a ceremonial usucha matcha from Yamamasa Koyamaen, specially favored by Houunsai Daisoushou, Grand Master of the Urasenke Konnichian tea ceremony school.
🍵 Recommended for: Usucha (thin tea)
✨ Best for: Urasenke practitioners and collectors of school-endorsed ceremonial matcha
📦 Origin: Uji, Kyoto, Japan
