Yamamasa Koyamaen is a long-established tea producer founded in 1861 (Bunkyu 1) in Uji, Kyoto — with family roots in tea cultivation stretching back to the early Edo era. Still operating their own tea fields in Uji today, they are one of the few remaining producers involved in every step from cultivation to blending. Their philosophy: “Taste First.” Every blend is evaluated and crafted entirely by human senses, not machinery — and their matcha is trusted by over 1,000 tea shops across Japan.
Matsukaze is a light, delicate ceremonial usucha matcha from Yamamasa Koyamaen — fresh, subtly floral, and easy to enjoy every day.
